Probably because you have a private profile. If steamgifts can't see your profile, it won't sync, so you won't be able to enter giveaways.

Well then you aren't qualified to enter that giveaway, Either it's a too high level or restricted in some other way.

I like the green bar and the infinite scroll it provide ^^ There is also some button to make formatting comment easier to do :)

Maybe you are trying to enter higher level giveaway, so it won't let you enter it, because your giveaway level is too low.
As previosly mentioned, it will be colorised, so either green or red, if it's red it's not going to let you enter it for reasons, that are written on the button (try google translate to see what it says).
