I like horror genre and I used to watch horror movies all of the time. I think it was me over-doing it though when in high school and college. But at one point I just had enough, and stopped for a few years after college. Now I don't even like the idea of watching a scary TV show or movie, it just makes me so jumpy. I prefer stuff that's more light and fluffy with fun costuming but silly and funny.
I also like space-themed stuff, though my favorite space-themed things are more like the novels of Frank Herbert in the original Dune series. In terms of TV/Movies, my favorite space-themed titles inevitably include Star Trek in the title. Though I have enjoyed many other space-themed works of all media over the years, I think I actually prefer books to games/movie/TV.
The last scary space-themed game I played was Alien Isolation on the PS4. I don't know what prompted me to do it, but I decided to jump in the action when everyone else was going crazy with the surround sound effects and the dim settings. I did the same, turned off the lights, put on a headset, and got thoroughly creeped out. That game I wasn't really able to finish under those settings. I ended up playing most of it with the sounds directly from my TV, though I still played in the dark, the atmosphere felt right.
The last creepy game I played had nothing to do with space, but was an excellent game in story-telling, that was Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice. It was a powerful game that left me speechless and not wanting to play anything for a day or two afterwards. Nothing seemed to quite match its intensity. Of course that's not really horror themed, just creepy in its own way.
So I bought a few copies of this game, though I am uncertain if I am going to play it. Nevertheless, there are two copies here for public consumption. I hope that you will enter if you are interested in the game. To be honest, I have no idea where this game is going or if it's ever going to get out of Early Access. It's been in such a state for almost 5 years.
Both Ending on Feb 24, 2020.
