because they don't know how to use steam correctly and instead of setting the key as limited-time access they gave retail keys and revoked them manually at the end of the beta period.
It's like the 6th time a dev does it this year.

yep scared the shit outta me i thought i got vac banned or something. apparently this is their way of disabling beta game from our account. usually for other games they just disappear from library when beta ends.
