Anna's Quest was one of the first games I remember winning on SteamGifts; it'd been years since playing a point'n'click and it brought back a lot of nostalgia. I will say it was a minor annoyance to go back through and earn missable achievements, but all-in-all I enjoyed it, and I hope whoever wins it from you plays it!

I haven't played Anna's Quest yet but it does look like a nice point and click, I'm (very) slowly making my way through the mountain of adventure games in my backlog since I really didn't start playing that genre in earnest until a couple of years ago, kinda fell in love with the shorter "first person" ones so those are the ones I've been focusing on so far.

I think one candle for the symbolic nature is all that is needed.
Wishes can be something cathartic, like i hope my loved ones who have passed are happy in the next world...
My father passed away 18 months ago, and it still feels surreal, as i saw him only a handful of times in the past 30 years. But still try and revel in happy memories, and the joy of being with them. Sucks there are no more chances for more memorites, but this feeling i use as inspiration to give a bit more love and attention to those that are still around.
All that is easier said than done. So know you're not alone, and at least one other person out there is sending you some extra positive vibes.

Yes it does feel surreal, that's a pretty good description of how it is during the first few weeks afterwards. My dad had moved to another part of the country when I was around 10 so he wasn't very present for about half of my life, but he had moved back a few years ago and it was nice actually having a more normal relationship with him even if it didn't last that much. My condolences for your loss, and thanks for your words and wishes :)

That game really is a hidden gem as far as I'm concerned, specially because it tried quite a few interesting things, never quite got why the general reaction from the public and critics was a loud "meh" but it reminds me of how it took many years for people to start appreciating Mirror's Edge and now it's considered a cult classic.

Yup, this is a birthday thread aka irl cakeday.
I thought about planning for it in advance this time right at the start of the month, but of course I completely forgot and now I'm doing this at the very last moment, just hours before the 11th. So instead of trying to procure something nice to give away I ended up scrapping whatever unrevealed key I happened to have in my Humble account, so a bunch of old 0 CV stuff among the selection, I'll try to add something else if I can find more keys.
