Have you tried turning it off and then on?

That's always the first question to ask.
If it's plugged in to a surge protector / power strip, the next question is if that is powered up.

If monitor cant turn on, check its power source cable 1st.
If you are referring to lack of picture on screen, then check HDMI cable, also check if your graphic card is producing image at all by using different cable type to connect it.

Also try:
1) a different video port (your PC probably has more than 1)
2) a different cable
3) a different connection alltogether (VGA)
4) try the monitor on a different source
