Same thing here. Wonderful games. Well apart from Shardlight, that game is terrible, but that is to be expected from the developer of it (Francisco Gonzalez).
Resonance stands as one of the best adventure games I've ever played. It's such a shame that the developer (Vince Twelve) never found the time to make another game. Nice guy too.

I'm actually interested to know why you didn't like Shardlight. It is not the strongest Wadjet Eye game, but I found it a solid entry, with excellent art work from Ben Chandler.

I agree Ben Chandler is very good at what he does. No doubt there.
I found the game to be largely soulless. Lacking in everything that makes a good point and click. It's like the game is ALMOST there, but lacks what makes an adventure game interesting. Same thing, only maybe a bit worse with his previous game (A Golden Wake). In my opinion, he's an amateur that should never have been allowed to make a game under the developer umbrella of Wadjet Eye Games.
I really disliked how terrible A Golden Wake was, and could tell very quickly while playing through Shardlight that it wasn't Dave Gilbert (Wadjet Eye Games) in writing style, or design philosophy. The storytelling was pretty bad, and the world building just felt soulless, plus the gameplay itself just wasn't very interesting (not because it was an adventure game, mind you).
Honestly, it was just lacking the soul that makes Wadjet Eye games great. It had Francisco Gonzalez' style all over it, and I really dislike that you have to do some detective work to see who is the actual developer of a game when it comes to Wadjet Eye games. You can't just assume it's stamped with the seal of excellent that I had come to expect from Wadjet Eye Games.

Quite possibly the most value for money bundle I have seen since many years in humble bundle. Literally insane, however I already got most of the games which is a bummer, but I might buy it anyway to support them in the end.
For those that don't know, Wadjet eye games have consistently given out adventure gems, of amazing story quality, narrative and good acting since the very beginning. I would argue they reminded me of the best adventure days back in the 90s where lucasarts was dominating the genre, even though those old classic adventures also happened to have a butt load of humor in them which was one of their staples.
Wadjet eye adventures are usually more grim, dark and serious in tone as a general idea of what kind of scripts they like. They feature great puzzles and dialogue. They are also more grounded in their stories too, making for believable stories that can relate to our world from various angles. And none of that of course is a bad thing if you want to play a great point n click adventure game.
I sincerely recommend them, don't be put off by the pixel art, they are doing god's work in the genre.

Nah, that's Double Fine Productions and their infamous boss Tim I don't understand the concept of money Schafer π
Oww π
You ment the GIF. Yeah, those are from Broken Age.
I don't have a GIF from a Wadjet Eye game that properly conveys my enthusiasm.

On a more serious note this group definitely needs more members!
Not much interaction going on but simply to show your appreciation for one of if not THE best developer of classic point and click adventures without moonpuzzles.
The Wadjet Eye Games Appreciation Lounge
I don't have any affiliation to that group beside being a normal member and liking their games so I think it should be ok to post this, right?

I just replayed Gemini Rue and will probably at some point replay Primordia and Resonance. I have everything except Strangeland.
These are really good games and Dave Gilbert puts a lot of heart and thought into these games (I have played through them in commentary mode and listened to all the background as well).

I already own the Blackwell games but it's still got a lot regardless, so I bought it.

i feel like humble is lying about how much the bundle raised for charity. literally the leaderboards have people who donated $0. tells me only like 7 ppl bought this bundle or something and i bet most of those are the creators accounts just padding their own wallets with there own money to look like its selling
Comment has been collapsed.
You do realize that you have to choose if you want your donation to be shown in the leaderboard? And that that option is off per default? The leaderboard never shows every donation. I don't know about the $0 ones but I assume that's just placeholders as long as not enough actual donators have chosen to be included in the leaderboard.
If you're into pixel art point&click adventures, this is a top tier bundle. Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean everyone else doesn't either.

What would Humble gain from lying? And if they were, wouldn't they make the numbers bigger? Right now it says they've raised $2,184 for charity and have sold 1,558 bundles. That's only an average donation to charity of $1.40 per bundle bought, out of at least $10. (Side note, this is why I always adjust the donation to give more to charity).

Technobabylon is 83/100 for me -- I am not a fan of pixel art, but a very good story. Do realize, though, you are playing a character's story, whose motivations might be very different from your own, so you might end up doing things with such character you would never do yourself (that kind of thing takes me a little out of the game, but it is fair in the context).
Unavowed, now, is fantastic, 94/100 for me. There is a companionship vibe that I love from games, reminds me of a great RPG.

I still need to play Unavoved but I really like this type of adventure games. I played and liked Technobabylon very much. I also played Gemini Rue long time ago after release (not on steam) and even I don't remember details now, I remember that I was surprised how much I enjoyed it. Maybe I will play it again but first I will try these i did not play.

I've been playing point-and-click since mid-90s, and the stories in both Unawowed and Technobabylon are definitely among the best I've ever seen in games. I'd say, Technobabylon is not perfect in the gameplay department, some puzzles are a bit overcomplicated, you might even have to resort to a walkthrough at some point. Unavowed, however, is perfectly logical and intuitive. As you've already noticed, visually they are gorgeous, and amazing voiceover actors are one of the signature features of every Wadjet Eye game. Basically, if you are in the mood for traditional point-and-click, you can never go wrong with Wadjet Eye.

Cool games, but no other languages. Overpriced, maybe $1 is okay, but not sure if I'd buy even then.

These games look like garbage to me, I'd buy them just to increase owned games amount. Maybe $2?

I remember mostly the Blackwell games, they are narrative focused, and really easy compared to the "golden age" point and click games. Generally don't give you too many locations / items at the same time, so they are not overwhelming.
The first Blackwell has an infamous "puzzle" when you have to go around a lamp pole to get a dog's leash stuck on it, I think that is the most difficult.

Probably the best publisher/developer of adventure games out there. 10/10 bundle, a must buy if you are a fan of the genre. Too bad I have everything XD.

same here, but might do it anyway and give away all the others
