i wanted to complete some sets of my cards so i can level up a bit more and came across this site https://steamlvlup.com/

i was wondering if anyone had used it before and what they though and if it is safe and legit to use as i don't want to get my account into trouble

Usually all those Lvl Up services want to trade (using Steam) their cards for your TF2 / CSGO keys, etc. All with Steam Trading ... if they do NOT do that then avoid, it is a scam.

As for the service ... you will get pretty @#$^ sets, as long as you don't mind that then the service is okay to use.

Is it worth it .... personally not really but it is up to the individual user.

i mostly was looking for somewhere to trade the odd card but out of set - so that if i am missing one card from a set but have no doubles from that set - i could use a few doubles from another set maybe instead - i wasn't interested in buying whole sets really

In that case a "level up service" isn't what you are looking for ... I don't recall ever seeing one that offered individual cross-set card trading.

I recall seeing a post of yours saying you didn't like it ... but Steam Card Exchange is really ideal for that situation.

Other Steam Groups like:
https://steamcommunity.com/groups/tradingcards
https://steamcommunity.com/groups/card-trading-card-trades
Have massive amount of users but you will run into issues like matching the price or a users who want twice or MORE than what you offer ... just because "you need" it.

1:1 trades like these groups:
https://steamcommunity.com/groups/OneToOneCardTrading
https://steamcommunity.com/groups/honestmerchants
would be your next stop.

Lastly the closest thing to Steam Card Exchange you could use is STM:
https://steamcommunity.com/groups/steamtradematcher
http://www.steamtradematcher.com/
I have had a look at it but gave up as it looked much more difficult that SCE.

STM is very easy, it will scan your inventory and tells you which double cards you have and which trade bots (or people) have cards that you're missing to complete your sets, and then you trade with them. Simple.

https://www.steamcardexchange.net/ allows exchanges between different sets. I used it few times. It has it's own point system and feels fair and useful imo.
http://www.steamtradematcher.com/ is only for same sets.

Well bots usually do 1:1 same set, so yes.

If you want to trade cross set, you have to find bots that allow it by yourself.

i've also used steam card exchange a lot in the past. it's how i manage to complete my steam sale badges. they have a point system which gives you points when they receive a card from you, and deduct if you request a card, points vary depending on actual price of the card. all of this is done through an automated bot which works pretty quickly.

I've used a similar service called SteamLevels and it worked well for me. I don't know about this one, but if you want to level up your account, you can use that alternatively.

i don't get it so to buy one set would be 0.84 in paypal and i don't even know what game they are for but to sell like 111 cards they would give me about $1 - how is this any good or did i miss something?

It really depends on your level.

For me to get to level 30, it costed me £1.30 and to up it to level 50, It costed me £7.28. These are my only two orders.

Before level 30, I was level 10 or lower.

i don't even know what game they are for but to sell like 111 cards they would give me about $1 - how is this any good or did i miss something?

The cards are based on random cheap games that you basically pay very less. Each upgrade is worth 500 XP, so with each EXP you get to level up. The more you reach higher levels, the more EXP you need to level up.

Hey man, steamlvlup is indeed legit. I've been using that service for quite some years now.
It is the best hassle free service i've tried. Better than other legit services like steamcardexchange, steamlevels, or various steam bot accounts.
You can deposit trading cards, backgrounds, emojis, csgo keys, and tf2 keys, or even complete card sets (in case you have a max steam badge).
They have a referral system, and a cool seasonal giveaway event that makes you eligible to win gems (the currency you buy sets with).
One downside is that the cheapest card set today costs 265+, last year i used to get a card set for 175 ish. But still it's cheaper than other services.
Reply here if you have questions.
