Guys i understand that you are suspicious. Iam too. And when i thought about the one benefit: Syncing the key database, i thought why not use apps like https://keeweb.info/ it is doing the same thing and is developed since a long time. And its based on the keepass tech. And you dont need to signup on a server. Even the online version is an offline app wich lets you use it in the browser without installing anything. And it has a tagging feature that you could use for tagging keys with game names.

But by the way this gamekey app is developed with similar libraries. Keeweb is build with electron so it is basically browser technology but it runs as an offline app. Thats how keeweb works and iam not shure why you need to login on the gamekey app. If you encypt the database like in keeweb a password should be enough. But good luck with development.

haha or use https://to-do.microsoft.com/ a simple todo list with tagging and grouping feature. Just write a user script with greasemonkey to extend the app with copy key buttons and an import feature.

Yea maybe look at the concepts of Keeweb it is open source as well. They managed to get users to use it to store there passwords. So i think encypted database and no server login is the way to go. Make it a true offline app. And yea your presentation on youtube looks like from a script [K]iddy. It KiLLz your bu$ine$$ / $erio$ity :D

The idea is great, and thank you for making this open source.

I didn't check the app yet, but from reading the comments I have some suggestions that hopefully should make the app seem less shady.
Let the users choose where to save the Database file, so they can easily sync it themselves using Cloud apps or something like SyncThing.
The Database file should be encrypted, an encrypted Database shouldn't have a recovery option on your side.
Don't have an option for auto updates, only optional checks for updates.
Use GitHub releases instead of MediaFire.
Use GitHub wiki to list out the app's features and how to use them instead of a YouTube video.

I personally used to use this Google Spreadsheet for trading, with another Spreadsheet that got the keys and all the commands (a backend if you will). And I use the IMPORTRANGE function to “link” them up.
I'm just saying, maybe you went too far to solve a problem.
