ShareX - Open source screenshot/screencast capture and sharing software

I know this thread isn't completely related to gaming, but I keep seeing people opening threads and asking about screen capture and sharing software. As a gamer myself, I thought you guys would appreciate this software therefore decided to open this thread :)

I'm the developer of the open source software ShareX. It is basically screenshot/screencast capture and sharing software, but also it can upload images, text and files to configured hosts.

For example, you can press "ctrl + print screen" and capture the selected area, it will automatically uploaded to selected host (Imgur, Dropbox etc.). The URL will be in your clipboard ready to share.

You can also upload/share everything you want: pictures, music, video, archives. Just with one click.

That's different from ShareX ... how? At least with ShareX I can decide WHERE my data goes when I'm setting it up. My own web server, my S3 account, etc.. I don't have to use somebody else's servers. Screw that.

Added the devs :D Been using ShareX since November I believe. Makes my life a million times easier.

I implemented the Amazon S3 support in ShareX after using it for a while. I've been using ShareX for my personal stuff and game development stuff, and find it crazy useful. The recent screen recording stuff is the icing on the cake.

I've been using ShareX for a a few years now. The recent updates including the FFMPEG updates are really useful and allow me to share clips with other people.
Useful for gamers but probably even more useful for game developers.

It may be useful....but most people here would use Steam to make screenshots in games (and upload them on steam to)...at least i think so on a steam based giveaway site....

Been using it since I found that other thread. Love having PrntScreen auto upload to imgur account and auto copy link to clipboard in seconds. There is no current way to Capture an entire page with Firefox right? I saw a workaround for Chrome, but have not tried that method with FF yet.

ShareX don't have scrolling capture but you can find Firefox addon which can capture web page and use ShareX watch folder feature so when you take screenshot with Firefox addon, ShareX will see new file created in that folder and automatically upload it.

Because ShareX programmed with C# gonna be very difficult to make it multi platform.
