Well all the HL 1 games are very related to themselves, as well as the HL2 games.
BS takes place at the same time and place as original, but from a different perspective.
OF is around the same time as well, and around the general locations, and it shares some of the same exact places, but is more tangential.
Episode 1 and 2 of HL 2 are directly continuing the story.
HL 2 has the same protagonist as HL 1, but it is years later.
Lost Coast is a neat short tech demo. The tech is really not all that impressive, but it is more HL2 gameplay.

Recently picked this up having never got around to playing the games myself, but have heard many good things about them.
I was not aware there were more than 2 games and I would like to play through the games story wise.
Do they follow on apart from 1 & 2? Are Blue Shift and Opposing Forces related to the many game's story line etc. Would love it if someone could give me a list of which order to play them in.
Thank you.
