So i've only used this SG account once, a year ago during which I listed 3 games. Not fully understanding how the site worked at the time I assumed the winner would add you and trade for the game. Anyway, one user did do exactly that, with Shadowrun Returns, but never marked the gift as received. After being away for a year i've come back to the PC and i've some gifts and keys i'd like to post but find myself unable to as i'm marked as having 'too low feedback or too many deleted giveaways '

The winners of my other 2 giveaways have now received and accepted their games (through email, so that's how you do it) but neither have marked game as received or left feedback. (one of them told me to f*** off when I added him about it).

How can I keeping posting keys when the winners don't bother to leave feedback?

If you have proof that you sent the games to the other 2, you can create a support ticket to request received feedback. Or create a ticket requesting more giveaway slots.

well the problem with what you stated, is that some random person added your steam account and "claimed" they won the game on steamgifts and you sent it too them.. support cannot really know if you sent it to the proper person, from the way you had it go down technically neither do you. that user still does not have that game in their steam account a year later.

for all the above reasons, this is why the gifter contacts the winner, and not the other way around.

anyways.. the solution is as revilheart said.. however trying to change the feedback may not go anywhere, i'd just request more giveaway slots if i were in your shoes (explain everything you just stated here in the ticket so they understand the reasoning).

Oh so he actually sent the games to other people? See, I did not get that from his post, I must be tired. I thought he had sent the games and the winners refused to mark it as received.

no, from what i can tell he just waited until somebody contacted him claiming they won over on steamgifts, then returned a year later and noticed all 3x were marked not received. it could have been the winner, but with the way it went down we really don't know nor would support on the one year old case we're talking about here.

No. as I stated the winner of shadowrun did add me and I gave him the gift. (Which I'll prove to support through my gifting history on steam, the other 2 I sent gifts through email that's listed on SG, and got the return email saying they've been accepted.

Submitting the ticket(s), and including relevant evidence, is the right thing to do, here.

yeah, you are doing this all wrong.

  1. You need to go after the winner, not the other way around, because someone could impersonate them.
  2. always record trade transaction, even if its from a giveaway.

but if you don't have record of trade, then the only way to get rid of them is to give the same game again to the winner, but this time, record it.. and this time, you add them. ... BUT! if they already have that game activated on their account, then you can request a reroll (a new winner)

I think I'll just post the keys to my steam feed, seems much simpler this way

You may also try keygiveaway.com for freebie key drops, if your friend list is as unresponsive as mine. (Assuming you really don't want to invest more time on sorting your account here.)

It seems like this whole issue steams from you leaving for so long without making sure the transactions were completed. I only just started giving away games late last month. 58 giveaways in the span of a week or so and only one issue. It's super easy to give things away here but like anything else in life you have the pay attention. You have to take steps to get feedback if none is given in a timely fashion. Waiting a year to fix an issue that should have been fixed 7 days after the giveaway ended is a bit of a problem obviously. I get that you didn't understand the site but that's not the sites fault. I'm not sure how you'd go about fixing this though. You may have no other alternative but to use a different site (places like Indiegala giveaways also use a feedback system though and that system is a lot more prone to trolling). :\ You'd be hard pressed to prove anything after this long. Screenshots and trade logs will help as others have said.

The winner that told you to "F off' is a jerk and shouldn't have said that obviously but are you sure he didn't mistake you for a scammer? It's been a long time since he won and he may not have have even remembered winning. One of the drawbacks of posting here is the random friend request scam attempts. I've had more dealings with this in a month posting here than I have in the last 7 years of using steam.

if you look at their steam account, only one seems to have the game you gave them in their library. And as it is a very cheap game, it's even possible he got it from somewhere else (the guy that got Shadowun returns didn't activate it it seems). So looking at their library, there is no way to know if you indeed gave them the games.

Considering the winner of SR has a history of not activating keys that he forgot to clear—or the creator managed to lock it down through support—mods may rule to OP's favour. Evidence is kinda needed though.

I've sent proof for all 3 now. Seems a little odd that I'd be doubted when all I'm trying to do is something nice, I'm not benefiting from anything. And I've no interest in entering any giveaways.

That is probably a rare case though. The more common one seems to be people making fake giveaways either because they don't understand this site or because they intentionally want to level up as they see all those giveaways for level 1 and up.

If you have proof, then you should make a ticket to support.

So a little update. I went through my Steam Gifts history, turns out the person who added me wasn't the winner of Shadowrun, so I went ahead and bought another copy and sent it to the winner with an apology, hopefully he'll accept that and mark as done.

Support seems to take a long time on this site though, I was hoping to get these keys posted and cleared this weekend while i'm at my PC.
