He probably meant 2060 Super... You have to admit the GPU names nowadays are harder to remember... :D

Your right about the names, but nowadays a quick Google or/and YouTube search and would have found out that RTX 2060 TI doesn't even exist. I found out that RTX 2060 TI doesn't even exist because I did a quick Google & YouTube search after reading his/her comment. Maybe he/she is just too lazy to type but there are solutions, he/she can just ask Google on their phone or PC using Google Chrome. My dad ask Google all time specially on his phone & sometimes on his PC :D.

Yes, you might be right, but i dont think its that important, to search for it...

Comment has been collapsed.

Why is that? Well it might just be me but when i'm really interested in some PC parts, I search everywhere for them, here some examples: Amazon, Ebay, Google, Tom's Hardware Forums, NewEgg and Youtube for Benchmarks.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Yes, of course. I mean I do research before building a new machine, but not months before the build :D 2-3 weeks before is totally enough. Before that point I know some infos about the parts, but not in details, thats why I thought its totally fine for xxxka to not know the exact name, as he is planning to build 4 months from now, a lot will change in those 4 months :)

I'll say dont wait till Dec. If where u are have quarterly sales, get them in Sep. Dec, tech prices are marked up because of Xmas giftings so you dont actually get better deals.

When i was getting my pc, I looked at the Sep prices but Dec ended up to be more exp and the 1070ti i wanted was obsolete. I waited until march the following yr to get my comp tho im not complaining that i got 2070, i do have to pay more than my original budget. Wishing you get a good deal and early birthday ^^

Unfortunately I do not expect any sales as we have just one eshop where you can buy "real gaming" computer in my country. So I just wait till prize drop on decent number.

For what it's worth, it may be worth looking at the GPU sooner. The 30XX cards are supposed to be officially announced fairly soon so I would expect the 20XX cards to fall in price some.

Let's be realistic, PC parts right now are way overpriced. And also the most powerful next gen consoles are just around the corner. Either we want to admit it or not game consoles influence on PC gaming. Why? because console ports and Unoptimized games Some Example: Cough Cough Horizon Zero Dawn, Black Ops III, Metro Exodus ect (I know there are more And those are current gen now imagine how next gen is going to be like) My advice is if you really need a PC right now build a cheap one and later next year build a better one.

Edit: I misread your comment an RTX 2070 is more than enough for any game to date. Maybe lower some setting or res and you will be fine.

I do agree the price is high now, yeah, newer tech is coming. Maybe 2070/80 can be cheaper but im not banking on it since they are basically the same just different models from 3000s. I would say wait than to buy 2 PCs unless there's a need for daily life.
Cheers~

I don't have a legit gaming machine anymore, but when I did, this was my case. I had three GTX 970's in that sucker.

I'm not keen on little plastic girls, but I'll give props that what you did is amusing. That's such a great pose for a person to be in there.

Yeah, nothing new, not powerful by modern standards, and not set to music, but an old, reliable rig that looks like any other dusty Lenovo thinkpad laptop of its era.

Mine's nothing special, but I like your idea of having a figure inside the case looking out, Yukino looks friggin' bored though :P

Only recently bought it, so haven't really customised it yet with lighting, etc. I might steal your idea though, just not the same figure XD
Maybe I'll post a shot anyway, but it's pretty bland.

I actually need a blow vaccuum, that actually delivers to where i am. Do you know any by chance for cleaning electronics?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Sadly I can't help you with that. I use my normal vacuum cleaner and some brushes to clean my PC.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

You should be able to buy a can of pressurised air (like an aerosol can) for cleaning electronics from a hardware, electronics, stationery supplies or computer store. They usually have an extension tube (straw) for precision aiming.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

+1
But you should be carful, because the pressurized air can leave traces of condensed water behind. Especially the cans.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

+1 that is the worry, the water, Also, aerosol cans are not environment friendly. I am also thinking of getting one so i can dust other electronics at home too. I came across this Vacuum unsure if they ship to my country and also not sure how reliable it is, as i've not heard anyone i know used it.

I also thought of using a motor pump but i would not have a tube to that is specific for cleaning electronics. I may also get a 2nd PC which might be a media PC just to want some shows when im not playing and do some editing on it. Therefore i prefer not to pay around.

You could use an airbrush compressor. There are some with moisture separators. I also think that they build up enough pressure.

I thought about it but unsure about the strength and if its truly suitable. I even asked a friend who has a fishing breeding biz about fish pump. XD
Saw this yesterday, its a sign!

I'm sure if you're paying $15 for a can of air sold for cleaning electronics, it will have been dried. If environmental impact is a concern, I think a lot more energy will have gone into producing the dies and performing the injection moulding of the plastic vacuum cleaner components, not to mention the motor. A camera cleaning puffer probably won't be powerful enough to effectively blow through a heat exchanger. You could try to find a set of bellows for a forge or fireplace but I don't know how common they are these days. Most barrel vacuum cleaners allow you to remove the hose from the suction side of the blower and attach it to the outlet (I know mine does) to turn it into a blower, although it is generally advised not to use this for sensitive electronics due to the potential for static electricity discharge. Having said that, I've done it and even once used a very powerful garden leaf blower to blow out the heat exchangers on my PC will no ill effects.

Mine is an old rugged case from 2003, with a diskette slot and a Pentium 4 sticker.

Will have to get a new one for the next upgrade as this one doesn't have a dedicated ssd slot...

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

You could use an adapter, so you can use a 2.5' or 3.5' slot. It is cheaper than a new case.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

You dont need an SSD slot :D
You could just hang the SSD somewhere in the case, it doesn't have any moving part, so it won't get damaged.
