Anyone likes gameplay&storyline before graphics?

If you can have both why are u going to pick just one? i like good graphics and also good gameplay ... i think that the fact that a lot of people say " GAMEPLAY BEFORE GRAPHICS " makes me think that they are trying to be like hipsters or some kind of stuff ...

A lot of people will say gameplay, yet spend enormous amounts of money on graphics hardware.

I grew up playing the NES, so graphics rarely concern me. No amount of flashy graphics can convince me to play a crappy game. As an example, I've had more fun playing "Maniac Mansion" on the NES than I had playing "Day One: Garry's Incident", despite the huge graphical difference.

I tend to prefer games in 2D anyway, as I have a depth perception problem.

Graphics never make a game for me. Same with Story. . Both need to part of the game, and work with the type of game. "Always Sometimes Monsters" Blew me away. . . as did Gnomoria. Graphically they both are kinda lacking but good games. Then again with Games that have wonderful Graphics make me glad I have Dual Titans.
