Cryostasis is now 1$ on the Gala Store, Steam key

I was bargain hunting and I stumbled upon this: now and for the next 5 days, Cryostasis is 0.99$ on the Gala Store. It's "disguised" as "The Death2Spies Bundle", where you need to pay 0.99 for Cryostasis and 3.99$+ to also get Death 2 Spies and Death 2 Spies: Moment Of Truth.

Personally I find Gala Store's practice of mislabeling/misnaming bundles and their abuse of the concept of "Average Price" both stupid and annoying, but in this case I don't care. I always wanted to play Cryostasis and for 1$ I can't say no.

I just noticed it as you posted, rather be honest the 2 spies bundle shouldn't be the main focus but ...

PAY WHAT YOU WANT minimum $0.99 AND GET:

  • Cryostasis on Steam

BEAT $3.99 AND GET ALSO:

  • Death 2 Spies on Steam
  • Death 2 Spies: Moment Of Truth on Steam

I quoted, as announced, the bundle included the 2 spies games, supposedly the main products for the basic price, which isn't reality in fine, one of them isn't even included for the minimum price.

So the minimum price announced, isn't the bundle one... It's a way to advertise, but try it with a porsche selling a volo, good luck with that... Triple it to sell the real product, no asterisk to show the sine qua non clearly in the main title, lot of problems in view.

Is it really a good game? I'm not asking the OP, because obviously he wanted this game for a while, so is there anyone who can clearly state that it's a good? and not just because of the price, if it was like $15 would they still buy it?

It tries hard, and has atmnosphere, but the engine is very chuggy. Using a pistol is difficult. I gave up after a few hours.

Also appears to have been removed from GamersGate & GOG. In addition, the 1C Action Collection is also absent on Steam... perhaps because this game will be removed from it as well?

I wrote them requesting info and they haven't written back. I was curious as well. I was hoping to get it on sale someday, so I wanted to know if it was still going to be available down the road or if I should scramble to grab a copy.

Now I don't have to, so I guess I wasted that email. I'd still like to know, though.

If you are buying something, it is important to know that your address matches the address of your payment. It would be easy to rip off digital file sellers, otherwise.

I'm trying to remember if I ever had to put in an address on my Paypal account. I guess I probably did. Even so, the bundles typically don't ask for address information, which is why I found this so odd.

You are buying off from their store, not the main bundle that they do. That is the actual business side.

The bundles on the store are not the same as the bundles they do on their main site. The store clearly uses different code. The store even has beta next to its logo. They are just acting like any other store on the internet does.

Unless you think they are going to snail mail spam you to death, I think you will be alright. If your mailbox is full come next week, then I apologize.

And now the fun part, Cryostatis cannot be bought anymore (not on indiegala, not en Steam). Why does Steam remove games from the store? Because a contract ended or something?

Edit: Still on indiegala though, only for full price I see.
