The 2.81 TB comes from various services and stand-alone installers.

~13GB larger than it used to be. Only got Borderlands 1 GoTY.
Won BoI which is installed, won Mirror's Edge which isn't installed but waiting till I get to uni to DL that as my internet is ~10x faster at uni so :/
Comes to a total of 166 GB in the steamapps folder, which is where afaik most of the game files get installed so is probably the largest part of the Steam folder.

Now that the Steam Winter Sale and other Winter Sales are pretty much done, what is the size of your Steam folder?
Mine is now a whopping 2.62 TB. Everything on my account has been installed. In total, I have 2.81 TB of game files installed from various services and stand-alone installers.
After the first XBOX Live service permanently went down, locking people out of any previously purchased content, I'm a strong believer in having a local backup of all digitally downloaded content. Steam likely won't go down for good (anytime soon). I just liked to be prepared :)
