Each image has exactly one valid character that is well hidden in plain sight.
The nice thing is that you know exactly what to look for and where to look at, you know the method and the process right from the start, yet finding them is still difficult.
The premise is as easy as it gets and you even know that the code contains no numbers, has two uppercase characters and three lowercase ones. And, as a nice head start, I even made the first character easy to find.
The rest of it rests on having patience and carefully examining the images to find the hidden characters.

Well I have to admit by chance found the first letter pretty fast without your hints here....
Congrats. Now you know what to look for and what you need to spot and this is a big step forward.

In my opinion, both. In practice, anything circled attracts attention and by looking into it you can find out the solution to the first part of the puzzle. If you miss that aspect, you can use the hints that point towards the right direction and end up with the same result. Also, if you think about it, the first solution is pretty much given away both on a macro and a micro scale as long as you keep centered on the task. The other ones, not so much.
I designed the first part as a warm up and to help the participants find out what to look for in order to speed up the process. So far, the results are very underwhelming.

I won't say it's easy. It's certainly difficult, because you need to pay attention quite well, but you can zoom around and take your time. As a hint, the first character is easier than the rest and its placement is rather straightforward and also emphasized. Keep in mind the characters blend within the images but are solvable and once you see them you cannot unsee them. Also it's very easy to get past them if you scan across without focusing on each area.
My advice is to take a break and come back again when your vision feels fresh and don't be afraid to zoom in as much as you need to.

Thanks for your hints, but I'll sadly pass on that.
I cannot make them out even though I found the first char with your help. After 30 minutes of intensive searching you'll get too exhausted. It's too tedious for me, sorry. :/
Apparently some (or one) of the solvers were pretty fast and found ways to exploit, and I had more fun finding this exploitable information instead of troublesome searching, if you know what I mean. But I even failed on that as well.

No problem. Thanks for giving it a try and you're very welcome to come back for my future puzzles. As a consolation, from what I've seen so far, people had troubles even with my level 0 difficulty puzzles so it's pretty normal for this one to be way harder than the previous ones considering it's a level 5 difficulty puzzle. So far there are two solvers that managed to exploit a certain aspect that has been patched and is not exploitable anymore and 5 genuine solvers.
Anyway, a few last hints, if you still want to give it a try, all the characters have the same size, each of them is on a kid, their color blends with the background they're on and they don't stand out when you're rapidly scanning across the image.

Apparently, even though I've been requested to create higher difficulty puzzles, the participation ratio is extremely low.
Here's a hint that will help you: The first character is pretty much circled out. One fifth of the puzzle is already done, the rest is up to you :)

Well, I've been staring at the first one (completely zoomed in, even), which is supposedly easy, for 25 minutes and I don't see anything, and I usually blast through HOGs in no time at all, so I must be missing something obvious. Is it smaller than the little creatures (like on someone's forehead or something?), or the same size as them? Is it in between them or on them? I literally haven't even had a single moment where I thought I saw anything. If I can't find the easy one, there's no point in spending time on the hard ones....think I need to bail on this puzzle. Sorry. :(

Yep. Bear in mind it's a level 5 difficulty puzzle with everything upfront so its difficulty must be justified. Look at my previous reply. I gave you a hint containing the area the first character resides in. That's like 97% of the first image ruled out. Also if you find the first character, you know what to look for for the rest so it becomes easier.
So, all in all, if you can find the first character based on my hints it's worth looking for the rest of them, otherwise it's going to be difficult, although not impossible.

Ok, wait...what does "circled out" mean? That there's a circle around it? That it's in the middle of the "O" (and I looked there, but didn't see anything)? Apologies if I'm just being dense, but I'm not sure what that phrase means. 🙃😆

You're on the right track. My advice is to try and focus on that area until you notice what you're supposed to look for. Try to resist the natural urge to scan across the image. Be thorough and zoom in as much as you like ;).

Ok, thanks...think I finally found it. But I will say that even with the picture at full scale, it was unseeable. I had to zoom in to 200% on the browser as well, and then I was able to see it (although it was still difficult considering the color contrast, too). Pretty sneaky. Wow. I think that it will be incredibly tough to find the others considering how much help I needed even when I knew where to look. :D

Here's a puzzle perfect for Halloween. You just need to find the code's characters that are hidden in the attached images. No thinking required. Easy Peasy, right? Wrong. You'll have to look around fair and square because it doesn't have a level 5 for nothing. Upfront explanation, no further hints required: each image contains a single character hidden in plain sight. You have to find all the characters, but can you? The code contains no numbers, has two uppercase characters and three lowercase ones.
