Has anyone received a refund for a Humble Monthly for any reason? I bought a year subscription a few months ago when they had a deal where you got some store credit and a month free. I've mostly been pausing it every month because I don't want the early unlocks. As usual, I paused my subscription for last month's bundle, but I waited until late on Thursday night (June 28) right before going to bed. I got a confirmation that it was paused, and I didn't receive the usual email telling me that my monthly bundle was ready last Friday.

A couple of days before I paused it, I bought a game that was on sale, but it was late and I didn't reveal the key and activate it. Today I went to get the key and noticed the Humble July Monthly was on my purchases page. I contacted Humble support and was told that they can't give refunds or credit once the games for that month have been announced. I thought I'd read once that you could get a refund if you didn't reveal any keys.

I am doing month to month. I should have gone for the Year deal like you did, I just did not expect myself to be getting so much months. I would have gotten last month's monthly had I been on the Year deal. Not only am I getting games but helping Charity. I am kind of disappointed that the past couple of monthly's are Multiplayer based though I am interested in the rest in the monthly.

Go to your settings and check Billing history. https://www.humblebundle.com/user/subscriptions/humble_monthly/billing
Check the Date and the Description that you had Paused and Skipped the month of June. If you paused A Day before the billing date which I had done for the past 2 months, you should Not be billed and the Billing History will correctly reflect so.

If you have the confirmation Email from Humble, produce as prove that your subscription and the keys displayed in your account is an Error and go from there. I have dealt with them with a few refund issues and they had all been resolved. Do have patience and be clear. Also do not activate any key.

Best wishes for you and Cheers,
Cruse~

That part is pretty negligible though (60 cents a month). With how taxes work where I live, that's a 20 cents value (40 cents tax deduction for a 60 cents donation). You'd donate more just buying one T1 bundle a month (setting it to 60+% charity)

As you mentioned, its negligible. My aim here wasn't charity, it is for the games more. Charity is just one more reason I will allow last month's monthly take up a month had I have subscribed for 12 months. I am Ok with Hearts of Iron and Blackwake though they are not games I am looking to play in the near future, they are good games. I also liked most of last month's revealed games. Cheers~

Humble used to let you refund after the monthly games were revealed, but people would often wait until then and then refund en masse because they didn't like the revealed games. Humble seems to only allow refunds very sporadically now.

I did, having been charged when I was sure I'd cancelled.

That was before all the games were revealed, which sounds like the distinction in your case.

You can tell them that you paused, but still received the games. It has become a habit that if you paused from the start of the month until 1 week before the reveals, that friday when they charge, it will unpause and you never noticed that, unless you manually check it. You could argue that.

Yeah, Humble has been doing that for a while now. I have to pause twice every time because they always unpause right before billing and don't even send an e-mail. Can't imagine that this is legal.
I'd also suggest you check your billing history. In mine there is a lot alternating between "Paused Subscription" and "Skipped a Month" and I think they don't log the unpausing if you didn't do it yourself. Maybe a screenshot could help with support.
