Origin to merge with Steam?

I wish, would actually buy EA games then.

This has been brought up before among the interwebs.

Would love to see something happen between the two companies though. A combination of the librarys would be nice.

That tweet is about EA's new IP, it'll be announced at The Game Awards 2014 today(Friday).

Steam's origin url stuff is just a bug about re-directing from a page to another.Steampowered domain itself causing a small bug, it started after Broadcasting thing.

I wouldnt count on it. The steam.origin url is strange though. If something went wrong with the coding and some back end script is building incorrect url strings... its strange no one fixed it by now. Then again, if the back end script is reading full wrong urls from a database, it would suggest some internal change that's going to happen with steam. But as far as I know, "origin" is also a default subdomain in some CDN services. All this suggests is that valve is strengthening its content delivery network. With the incoming sales, we all know steam needs it.

If EA games are coming back to steam great, if not well then I probably wont be buying many EA games. I'd be ok if it did what ubisoft does with steam->uplay. I cant stand having separate libraries..although there are a few exceptions.
