Well, here's to my 3rd attempt at kickstarting my YouTube and shiz @-@ wish me the best of luck at sticking to it this time XD

I'm going to try to upload at least every other day, be it a stream or a shorter video. And hopefully this time I can get into the habit of it and stick to it ^_^

How do you all motivate yourselves to do something you love, but just constantly make excuses and procrastinate on? Any tips you have are greatly appreciated!

Here are a couple of giveaways as well! If I do keep up with the YouTube and shiz, and see that it's growing, I'll definitely do these more often.

From my experience: find yourself a girlfriend (or boyfriend) that will constantly give you a disapproval look anytime you'll start procrastinating. That's what works for me. Also being broke and not eating for a few days helps a lot. But maybe it's just me :P

Good luck with your channel!

Well I got the girlfriend, so I'll try asking her to keep me on task ^_^

Ya, going hungry can be a wonderful motivator XD Thankfully I'm with family until I goto Uni this Fall~

Thanks! I hope I can at least get a couple of casuals who will comment and give feedback in general, as that's my main issue, tbh, the lack of feedback and connection with people XP

if you truly love something you shouldn't have any needs to motivate yourself, i think

I truly love it, it's just different things add up to discourage me >~< Namely it's the lack of feedback on my content that is the worst offender and contributor to it. I'm hopeful this time time I can keep at it to gain some followers who will engage ^_^ if not, then maybe my gf can keep me on track XD

I know its not my place to say it, but you asked for it.

Firstly, you don't need motivation, that one is easy, as long as you have goal in mind you are set. What you need is DETERMINATION, and that is hard part.
Second, quality over quantity. Pushing many videos a day, will drain you and your viewers, so keep it at few videos a week, and try to script them if possible. And make schedule and be sure to follow through.
Thirdly, don't think that you will succeed in short time, go in it as a hobby so don't quit your day job and your social life. People that I subscribe too, spent year or more before hitting even 10k subs. Steady growth means longevity, hyper growth means quick death, usually.
Fourth, talk, talk, talk and get quality microphone. Also, respond to people in comments.... Generally be engaged with your audience.

I'm quite sure that you know all this staff, but looks like you wanted someone to tell you this again.
Just my 2 cents on the matter.
Good luck.

I guess you're right on that first bit X"D need to take cues from Undertale~

To the second part, I totally agree! If I feel something isn't up to snuff or that I'm forcing it, then I generally don't publish the video and leave it on the editing block to look at it later to see if it can be salvaged or should be redone. I refuse to put something out there that is halfarsed, so I'm staying to no more than 1 video a day, even if I get into a grove, both for the sake of not overwhelming viewers, and for the sake of keeping my content's quality at a maximum.

I don't expect a thousand subs over night XD I'd be happy if I get even 1 person who will comment and give feedback on my videos, cause that is what truly makes this all feel worth it ^_^ anytime I see a comment, my heart truly lifts up, even if it is a comment that criticizes my content, it's a comment that I can use to better myself and produce something truly wonderful!

Talking is something I am working on (original reason for starting YouTube was to work on public speaking skills). I have a Blue Yeti for a mic that I bought through a sponsored video. And I generally do reply to comments~

Yup ^.^/ just hearing people give their feedback, even if I already know it, is truly helpful~
Thanks ^w^
