So today i was checking my old laptop and i found that notpad, searched for Desura on the web and boom Desura is down for years :)))

I did a halloween event called "ghost train" to dump old keys which I was not sure about their validity: https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/TW4Lv/ghost-train

Considering doing something like that instead of deleting them.

Throw them away, desura was supposed to come back in some form, but not the way it ever was nor it will ever be.

There's also the Delete giveaway if key is not working group if you want to take the chance to see if the winner is able to redeem it successfully.

Some Desura keys are actually valid Steam keys too. Give them a try on Steam before deleting.

^This^ and some devs will give you a Steam key in exchange for the Desura one if you contact them.

I miss Desura. Not sure about your question, and though it still looks unlikely, several different companies over the years have mentioned about bringing it back, so hope it does, and that it's at all similar to how it was.

looking that the domain expired and was bought back in 2020, it won't come back with that name.

I owned a lot of games on Desura (all of them gotten for free some way or another) and then towards the end I lost access to my account (password would not work, and recovery resulted in no emails). Either my account was stolen or the system just stopped working. There were a few games on there I would have liked to download before it went away, but oh well...

I still have a bunch of games I downloaded before they went down just somewhere in my HDD, I never bothered to order the files. The last time I went looking for one of those games I realized just how much of a mess my files are.
Luckily I managed to get most of my library of games also on steam, some by asking the devs via the message system desura had while it still worked, some because the bundles also provided a steam key, some I just bought again.
