I think it's in SGD for SEA countries, so around $4.5 USD, which is slightly cheaper

You're right, it's in SGD. Just checked the order history from freebies I ever got in origin and all of them listed as SGD0.00

Edit: Thanks~

What's the point?

The point is that it is a new best price and some people appreciate such deals.

Gotta love how their page does´nt tell any prices and just goes "get the game". How about gfy origin? :D

Whenever a supermarket item does´nt bear a pricetag i jokingly go oh it´s free and never even look at it with my ass again ...

That's probably because there are multiple versions available as well as multiple tiers of Origin Access subscriptions available that also include the game. The price displays when browsing the store and other games that only have one version list the price in the same spot Battlefield 1 has the "get the game" button".

This isn't EA trying to hide the price it's EA making sure you see all the options. https://www.origin.com/gbr/en-us/store/battlefield/battlefield-1/interstitial

is revolution worth the extra 5 bucks?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Not for me. I suggest getting the base game first and only if you really need the extra content upgrade it to the full extent. Chances are you'll forget about the extra content and/or not even play/use it and leave it rotting in your library. I don't know if the 10 hour trial still works or is still available but, before buying the base edition, that could be a good starting point as well.

On Amazon too:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01FVC15O6?tag=isthcom-21
Note: Currently, this item is available only to customers located in the United Kingdom.
£4.37

I have the dlc that were given away free during the last 12 months so it's pretty good to get the standard edition cheap .

For the UK Amazon and Origin are the same price just to safe anyone having to check.

I fleed the battlefield once their matchmaking system was broken beyond repair, i can't even manage to enter a conquest server without being alone or with 1 random guy in it... That is also the reason i pass on battlefield 5, i hope the people who will buy at this price will encounter less problem as me :p

default find server suck, check advanced rules and remove some ticks, try listing full servers and join when there are no other in the queue, like 64/64 or 32/32 instead 64/64(8).

try operations, it always finds a server.

Since the game has a singleplayer campaign, I'd say it's fully worth it when purchased for 5 euros. I also received all those 4 expansions for free, long before buying the base game yesterday. Say what you will about EA, but providing free DLC packs that remain in your library even without owning the title in question, is something no other gaming platform offers at the moment. Origin remains my second favorite, after Steam itself.

Oh they do have SP campaign? This is tempting. might grab the one with the Titanfall 2 pack as well if Titanfall has an SP campaign.

I suggest getting only battlefield, as far as I rememeber titanfall 2 is dead

Depends on what one is after. Titanfall 2 single player campaign is praised almost universally.

Titanfall 2 has an EXCELLENT campaign. Seriously, it's ton of fun. Pretty big surprise after the first one that had some voiceover over a multiplayer map or something for its "campaign".

Those were offers within a certain timeframe. I read about them on Reddit. Don't worry, I'm sure EA will give the BF1 expansion packs for free on Origin again in the near future.

I am interested in it only for the campaign. Is it worth it for only the campaign? Is it good?

thxs :) Yeh I loved the bf3 and bf4 campaign, even though 4 was rather short and buggy at the time of me playing it. It was still fun :)
Shame I missed the "in the name of the tsar" free DLC though.

If EA didn't employ simpletons who calls their customers 'uneducated' and says stupid things like 'if you don't like it, don't buy it', then EA wouldn't have to sell their games for $5 and give away all it's DLC to maintain a palyerbase, lol.

Very low pre-order numbers for BFV....wonder why...

Loved playing older battlefields with a friend against 20 bots and sniping in a tower as a medic/assault combo.
