Got it for $12.49 with Rockstar pass when it was on GMG sale. Have yet to download Max Payne 3...don't have enough space on PC.

MP 2 was really good at the time of release - dont know today. MP3 is amazing :D

Max Payne 2 it's probably the best game in the series in my book. It's dark, tells a great story in an unexpected way, truly an homage to the whole noir genre. Max's rants, the whole carousel of emotions that the entire game conveys because the way the devs created the game's atmosphere, the well chosen soundtrack it's just incredible. I'd say that Max Payne 2 was an work of love: love for the storytelling, love for the character, love for the stuff that the devs created.

Max Payne 3 is a game made by Rockstar: an action game with lots of explosions, beautiful visually, but not a Max Payne game. Rockstar buying the franchise from the original devs ( the very same devs that gave us The Longest Journey and Dreamfall ) was not the best thing that could happen to Max Payne franchise. In the end, MP 3 it's an empty game, with not much of a story, not a great atmosphere as we were used in the previous titles and way more fast paced than the original. And with the possibility to use bullet time almost indefinitely, MP 3 looks like a very dumbed down version of the original. Graphics might look good, but MP 3 is the kind of game that you finish once, maybe twice, but end up putting it away forever. Meanwhile MP 1 and MP 2 are the type of game that you install from time to time and replay them for the sheer beauty of the gameplay, story and atmosphere.

But, again, those are just my opinions.

P.S. the deal is good, so grab them. MP 3 at 6.25 pounds it's the right price for that game. At the same time, i'd pay gladly more for the originals or a HD remake of the originals.
