How to add Visa Gift card to Google play?

So recently I got a $5 Google Play gift card, but I ended up running into and issue; what happened it the card is declined by Google play when trying to add it, is there any way around this? And if not, where is a reliable website where I can buy a Google Play gift card send via e-mail?

you just treat it as a regular credit card basically. You may have to register the card first at https://mygift.giftcardmall.com/ to be able to use it for most electronic purposes, don't recall if i had to do this for the google play store when I did this last but I know that that's the process that has to be used for steam often with the cards.

oops sorry i didn't catch that you were dealing specifically with a google play visa gift card. You'll have to contact customer service, as probably both through Google Play and through Visa, after all no one wants to actually have to work and take responsibility

I know it works fine for Steam, but in this case I need to specifically use it for Google Play. ( Oh well I guess my best option is to simply go ahead and buy a Google Play card from the store.
