I was wondering why I see a lot of people valuing tf2 keys as half of a cs:go key.
I dont trade much so I decided to look them up and they're almost the same price on the market and dispensers?
I was wondering if there was a reason for this.

they don't value tf2 keys as half of a cs:go key :) it's more like 1.2 tf2 keys = 1 csgo key

Well, it's usually 1 cs:go = 1 tf2 key + 3 ref. But, in trades, if someone says, for example, 2 uncommon cs:go keys, it means 2,5 tf2 keys. That's because they have a different price in the steam community market.

it usually isn't that big a difference it's just that most people don't wanna deal with refs, gem sacks, ToDs etc. so they round up

I see, so if I end up getting some I have to get ref or something maybe if I end up getting them. was offering my humble links to someone who dealt in only tf2 keys and was wondering how much they'd be worth. thanks guys.

It all comes from TF2 keys being about 2.2$ on Community market while the Uncommon CS Go Key are like 2.50+

Still its more like 1CS is ~1.15/1.2 TF2 at most
