May be you entered any fake or forbidden giveaway.
After mods kill it with fire all point returned (like you remove your enter by yourself)

I had 311. I guess you get above 300 when a giveaway is deleted and you regain the points.

edit: My extra points disappeared too now, even though I used some of them.

The maximum i reached was about 90 points.Then I started participating in giveaways that ended in 2 weeks time :P
