If you had to choose one, would you rather be Blind for life or Deaf for life?
Yes. But he has his 'radar'. How many deaf superheroes come to mind from Marvel and DC? None that I know of. Well, there is Shriek from Batman Beyond - but he is practically deaf and requires his technology to be able to function. The same for the new Pied Piper from the Arrow series. There are many other 'blind' characters who have different senses - be them psychic, magic or technology that can function.

Maybe that's just a function of the comics. It would kind of hard to have a comic book character signing, from a functional perspective. And if they could read lips and talk anyways, then the deaf part would just be a useless gimmick that played no part in the superhero.

Deaf since you cant play games blind ;p
But then again blindness will be fixed sooner or later. Currently bionic eyes can let people see but I personally wouldn't call it seeing if everything was all blurry like the ones they have now.

Since I usually live in a dark apartment and never need to turn on the lights to find what I need in the supply room at work I'd rather be blind.
remember, being blind doesn't mean you have to give up porn. They have porno magazines in braille.

Deaf without a doubt.
Could still watch movies, tv, sport, read (either in print or online), admire beauty whether it be a natural view, man-made such as architecture or art, or looking at an attractive woman. Speaking of which, us men are visual beings when it comes to sex.
I could still do things that require hand-eye co-ordination like gaming, playing sport, hobbies and crafts etc. if deaf. Could much more easily do your own shopping and cooking.
Travel and navigation would be easier compared to being blind as you could still drive if deaf, (I don't actually drive anyayway), but just walking around or catching a bus/train would be a lot easier too compared to being blind. Can't even cycle somewhere if blind.
I'd feel a lot more vulnerable to unkown dangers such as tripping on something as a blind person, and I think I'd be scared or on edge a good proportion of the time. It's not even a close call as far as I'm concerned, give me the deafness.

Meh I'm already half deaf anyway. It'd be a shame because I really like music and am about 90% of the time listening to something, but I just think I'd be able to handle being blind

I would personally take deafness over blindness, as reading and writing are very important to me. They are my pillar of sanity.

If you were held at gunpoint and given the choice of either being blinded for the rest of your life, or deaf for the rest of your life, which would you choose. And there would be NO chance of miracle surgery later in life because the bad guys would make sure you stayed that way.
Personally I would choose deafness over blindness because I could still play games if I couldn't hear but I wouldn't be able to if I couldnt' see.
