Ha! I made a Steam account to try DOTA 2, but I didn't like the tutorial since I was really used to LoL and I left my account to rot for a couple of years until I upgraded my Intel Graphics laptop into a GTX 970m laptop, then I saw the light of GabeN!!!!

Congratulations on that too! I saved money to build my first desktop but right now really few games make my laptop struggle so I will wait for 1 or 2 more years :]

Haha yeah, the reason I made a steam account was when I bought a retail copy of Modern Warfare 2 and instead of normal installation, I was prompted to install and update steam first. I really disliked having to be online to access the game, because around that time EA was king in retail nonsteam CD sales like the og Crysis, NFS Series up till Shift 2 and a few others. I am pretty sure I went 6 months after that before I bought my second steam game c:

I found balloons on my Steam browser and found out that it is my Steam's account birthday!
I totally remember why I made one, it was Halloween sales and me and my group of friends all bought Left 4 Dead 2 to play together. Good times when I only had 1 game on my account.
