I think you'll find games like these on mobile mostly. Punch Club works like this, I believe, but I don't know other games on PC like this. Managament/Simulation does fit to the description as a genre.

Punch Club, Domina are actually what I want and I already heard about them. Well besides the fact that you don't fight another player's character.

So I recently played CATS: Crash Arena (mobile game) and remembered I really love these types of games and I want more. Played one a very long time ago and couldn't find it ever since.
However I don't know what genre it fits in. I wanted to try some more games like it, maybe it isn't even a genre since there aren't many like it. Basically you build a character, or a machine, and you fight 1v1 with not control over your character, sort of a gladiator manager game.
Anyway, if you guys know similar games, or the genre I will be happy indeed!
