Steam game removal

Yesterday I had 230 games. I start Steam today and it says I have 229 games.
Q1. Does Steam notify users of games removed?
Q2. Is there any way of knowing which game was removed, if Steam fails to notify users?
Thanks in advance for any help.

maybe it was a free weekend / Game Removed From Store / Beta Game ..
i had this once .. i had to see the games i bought and checked .. it was a beta game removed and other time was free week end

You will get a notification when they remove a game from your account. It's more likely that a beta/f2p/free weekend game was removed from your list.

Not 100% sure on this but I remember reading that that only applies to items purchased in steam, activated keys don't get a notification when revoked/removed.

-edit- seems I was wrong.

Yes, I've had two keys removed and both received notifications. (Dead Island and Dirt 3) Not 100% sure if it happens with every game but who knows.

Dirt3 and Dead Island were two games that had keys leaked en masse and were being sold by shady traders. The keys were later revoked.

My guess is Magicka: Wizard Wars as it went open beta and dropped from my library.

Maybe it's because I got it a different way, but still in my library and it's uninstalled with no pieces of DLC.

If you got is separately, you get to keep. It was added to some other games by Paradox in these cases it was removed.

I got it as part of a Humble Bundle a while ago, so I guess that explains why I would still own it. Should have thought a bit before posting, haha.
