So... how does this work? You keep it until you uninstall? :Z The DLC doesn't bind to the account.

Oh, look. It's MercurySteam, the same guys that made both Castlevania Lords of Shadow 1 and 2. Nice! Hopefully they fix their giveaway soon.

I can't get why most of times I get AccessDenied on any such ASF commands from comments.

Do you add base game first? (It's the first SubID on this command)

Perhaps you already have the titles from other subscriptions, or they're unavailable in your account region.

Outdated ASF versions do not work properly for addlicense, in case you were using something obsolete.

My version is 3.0.4.1, did not think this could be an issue.

Worked for me, added the base game, canceled the download, and added the DLCs one by one (cancel the download each time again). Now I own them. You can check here if it worked: https://store.steampowered.com/account/licenses/
I never heard of the game before, but hey free is free, doesn't look too bad.

Comment has been collapsed.

Yes, but it doesnt +1 neither having trading cards, and you can remove the license in your list as if it was a f2p game and not a permanent dlc :\

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

DLCs are permanent, base game not but with the license you can download it even if removed.

Edit: Wait, just see they switch the NoCost Sub IDs for a Free On Demand ones.

Yeah, looks like "free to keep but only if you don't uninstall" to me. Wonder if they will still change/fix it?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

That's what they did with Hitman Episode 1 and 2 giveaways.

And it's incorrect, regardless you'll keep it forever, difference is that you won't get +1 DLC and game stays hidden when uninstalled.

Stupid question: if it's hidden when uninstalled how do I un-hide it to install it?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

It's not "hidden", persay, it's just not in library. You'll need to go to its Steam store page and launch it from there.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

You'll need to download throught Steam store, and if removed, throught SteamDB.

A NoCost license would be better...

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

You can install it and then hide it manually, that way you'll always see it in the "hidden" tab of your library, even if you uninstall it.

You can make a F2P Tag an put it on the F2P Games AND save the Gamefiles before you uninstall. Then you can Reinstall at any time you want it back.

Thanks. (Don't care about the +1, but do care about keeping the license when uninstalled :))

If they show up there correctly, then they've properly been added to your account.
Personally, I had no issues adding the DLCs, and I added them about an hour ago, now.

As far as showing up as a +1 and staying in library, complimentary DLC licenses don't, as I recall, ever count toward that.
You'll need to actually purchase a DLC or activate a DLC key to get those features.

Seems like the game isn't actually bad, but from what I gathered from the reviews and discussion boards the community didn't like how their marketing team went about their pay model. It's basically a buy 2 play game with 2 of the maps being free 2 play. I believe Battleborn, Battlerite and Atlas Reactor did something similar to this.. maybe even Paladins. But like I mentioned it doesn't seem like the game is bad and you might see positive reviews from the people getting the full game instead of just 2 maps. It does seem like they could actually turn the game around.

Well, 1st map is just a very basic tutorial, 2nd map has you getting mauled with nearly unavoidable instant-death attacks. haven't tried the campaign pack levels yet and don't feel like trying.
Playing solo is no fun at least.

Maybe buying upgrades from the in-game cash-shop could have made it more bearable, but well, fuck that microtransaction shit with a rusty spork.

There's something weird happening with the DLC, just go to the Steam page for the game, install the game, then use the download button for each of the DLC to "install" them. They will apparently start the game instead of showing a download, or at least that's what happened for me.
It seems they are there, even if the games page in Steam doesn't show it. After a few minutes, the games entry in your library should show those as DLC you have.
It's weird, but it seems to be working. My experience, yours may vary. Good luck!

To bad they didnt fix the no cost licenses and replaced with free on demand. I dont like when I can remove licensens from the license page :)
Anyway, I already have the main game as +1 in my library because I got pre release license from somewhere. 8 Jun, 2017 Raiders of the Broken Planet - Prerelease
