Why there are many The Ship games?

Always when I 'm taking part in giveaways, I have noticed that there are many The Ship giveaways.
Why? Is it cheap somewhere?

When you purchase it in the store, activating it spawns two copies. Each of those copies will activate one more. This results in 5 copies total.

They gave away 10k copies for charity I believe something like that and each copy came with 2 other copies so that's alot of copies
