I kind of think that your "rule" does not make sense. I can easily comprehend it and do as you say, but there are a few reasons for it to be kind of "senseless".

First thing is that I never noticed that "bots" on SG were possible. If so, it's up to the mods to deal with those cases.
Second reason is due to the fact that you don't state that, if someone does not "thank" you or comment, you accept it as the winner or disqualify that person.
Btw, I recognize many comments here that are copy-pasted on other GA's and aren't exactly "thank you". So, they could easily be bots and your rule does nothing to stop them from getting the prize.
