CV = Contribution Value (and leveling) which is covered at the end of the faq. All giveaways will have Full value, 15% Reduced value, or No value which is different from p (price?) value. Not sure why this site doesnt show the CV for each giveaway. They can calculate it on your profile....

There are alot of blatant trash/asset flip games that are priced $50 to hundreds of dollars that are usually always on sale for a dollar. Some of those have been retroactively reduced to 0 CV by staff.

I might react a little harsh at the moment towards giveaways of overpriced trash. Mostly, because I do not see why one should support developers that have no real intention to create a game but only want a quick cash grab by their share of card sales or by selling the "game" for cents on 3rd party shops.
But I am also convinced that someone new to a website/community/... should first take a look on what are written and unwritten rules, and live with the consequences if they did not. What is a unwritten rule, everyone here can decide for themself.
