Description

I completely blanked on the New Year and forgot to make a resolution this year.
So, what was your New Year's resolution if you made one and have you stuck to it so far?

I'm not normally one for new years resolutions because I usually have areas of self improvement I'm working on but I think the main one I'll be trying to work hard on through this year is being more straight forward in my social circle. There was a lot of confusion and misunderstandings with some of my closest friends so this year, I just want to stop letting any worries get in the way and actually start reminding them "hey, I care about you and we should get together again soon" to have a more happy, productive, and honest year.

Here, in Spain, the traditional thing is to eat the "lucky grapes", one with each stroke. That's my purpose, not to choke and try to eat them in time: I usually end up with my mouth like a squirrel, but at least I don't vomit.

(Children are better given raisins to avoid drowning, it can be tragic)

My new years resolution is just to be kinder to myself. When things go wrong, I want to feel comfortable in admitting fault, rather than blaming myself for everything!! Ty for the giveaway!!

Ever since I was diagnosed with diabetes in 2010, it was a serious wake up call when my doctor told me I would be using an insulin injection for the rest of my life. I thought FUCK THAT SHIT and managed to lose OVER 150 lbs within one year just by dieting alone! Because of the weight loss, I'm able to maintain and control my blood sugar levels WITHOUT the use of insulin; however, I'm still on the heavy side, so my current weight has been stagnant for at least five years now. My goal for this year is to exercise more and lose another 100 or so pounds by Christmas.

Oh, and thank you for the opportunity!

I'm not the guy who does that like every new year or on some special day. I try to identify what's wrong, why is it wrong, how will I face it, and what could be the consequences about doing so. I think it's a good practice to do it all the time, but anyway it's cool to set like a date and doing it, in long term it results satisfying and it's progression. My goal is to stop wasting time in things that do not deserve the effort, kind like caring more about myself, and stop smoking and focus on solving (or at least diminishing) my respiratory problems.

I think my biggest goal this year is to get back to drawing and to improve my discipline, maybe study for the JLPT N3 exam too. Hopefully stabilizing my health and getting my professional and financial life back on the tracks will come along the way too.

It's never too late to make a new resolution though! Do you have any plans for the year?

(Thank you for the giveaway, also!)
