Hi
Thanks for telling me.
Glad to know he/she removed you from the blacklist and wanted a reroll, that way you don't have to give him/her the game. :)
Hopefully the support will reply to you soon.

Yes me too
The winner thought I wasnt as bad as (s) he thought
I actually wanted to sent the game, but (s) he refused (politely)

Did he/she say why you were blacklisted?

Permalink

No I didnt ask
But (s) he said only you are too nice to be blacklisted
So that made me happy again
I am too sensitive I know about the blacklist stuff (most females are )

I think everyone is, some just more than others. I don't think it's because you are female, you just seem to be a nice person and don't like to upset or annoy people, so when someone blacklists you, it makes you feel bad. That's how I see it anyway, may be wrong. :)

I can tell, not just by the things you talk about on the forum but also by how many giveaways you did in such a short time. ^^

I'ts never too much if you enjoy doing it and makes you and others happy. :)
I don't like trading either, better to give it away here.

yes I did trade a lot but for me its too stressfull and not all traders are friendly
And with giveaways most people are positive

I used to trade but it was before the region locks, after that it wasn't worth the trouble of having to deal with rude people. Giveaways still have rude people but doesn't bother me as much and when you find someone nice, it feels better.

yes indeed really are some strange traders if you dont give what they want
Giveaways is lot more positve
Especially when you whitelist someone and they can enter your giveaway some people are so happy then
I like that
I almost never use the blacklist, (only for 2 traders who were extremly rude and if someone blacklist me)
But never for ratio, cause I know some dont have the money to buy games

I used to blacklist people who didn't bother to say thank you when they won since that bothered me (still does to be honest) but a few weeks back I cleaned my blacklist. Now the only people in it are the ones that blacklisted me first and I found out.
Bad ratio is annoying, specially when you see people with dozens or even hundreds of wins that don't give anything. Also when they have like 1k or more games in their account or loads of TF2/CS:GO stuff, but no point in blacklisting since too many to count.

yes there are too many
But some are little kids with only 40 games or so, and I feel bad when people blacklist them
But in you example its different I wont blacklist them cause I dont like to use the bl
With the thank you I dont really mind I hope they do, but most dont
I get upset when someone is on my whitelist doesnt say thx. Then I remove them from my whitelist
Only happened twice :)

True, some people are just trigger happy and will blacklist for anything. I got blacklisted for my thread and that was only asking when users created their steam account and with giveaways in it, so yeah. I like to use this website but the blacklist thing is just bad, most of the times people can't or won't say what they truely think and feel, afraid of being blacklisted.

yes absolutely true
I showed sleepycat the outcome of my poll (with how many people were afraid to speak of their min)
Sleepycats reaction was the blacklist will stay its a part of life like death
I found that a silly reaction
I got most blacklist from my male / female thread
I think its really a bad thing that people dont dare to speak what they want cause of the blacklist
Most people who are afraid are the nice people
One thing I found out about the people who blacklisted me, is that they have a few comments on the account (they read the forums but dont interact)

Btw I'm doing some whitelist giveaways so if you are interested:)))

I think that blacklists should be removed, in the long term it hurts the website more than it helps. Even if you don't like someone and he enters your giveaway, what are the odds of him winning? If you really want only a certain group of people, use the whitelist, group, set a level, sgtools and so on. Personally I think they should just put some of the sgtools as feature of the website, that way you could rule out the rule breakers since those seem to be the ones that get blacklisted the most anyway. If they really wanted to keep the blacklist, at least give us the option to blacklist back automatically (hide the names if you must so we dont know who they are) or don't allow them to enter the giveaways of the person they blacklist and put some cooldown so they dont just remove you and enter, then blacklist you again. In theory the blacklist could work if people were nice but a lot ain't and they blacklist for anything even if you say you like b but enjoy c more, you going to get hate.

Thank you. :))

exactly
As you described it would be the best
I indeed prefer no blacklist at all its such a negative thing
One guy told me on steam that he doesnt say much on the forums cause he was bullied a lot at school and was afraid that it would happen again here cause of the blacklist
I told sleepycat the same but he only said the blacklist stays
I hope they will change it, cause its not good for the site
Gifting games is a very positve thing and the blacklist dont fit

you are welcome
coming one more
Hope you find something you like :)

Exacly, the website is called Steam Gifts but with all the private giveaways, blacklists, sgtools, elite groups that you need to go through the roof to enter, sometimes it feels more like steam exchange, since some only give to those that give them back.

Thank you, at this rate you going to be level 7 soon. :)

indeed I used sgtools once but its not my thingand the group things with all the rules
Only am a member of a simple group almost no rules at all
But the blacklist is the most worst thing for this site

Haha nope lvl 7 its too hard
I have to do expensive giveaways but I like it better to buy little ones so I can make more people happy:)

If I'm being honest I thought it was strange when you used it, it just felt out of character and not like you. From the start got the vibe that you just wanted to give and make people happy but with SGTools you were gonna start cutting people out. If that's what you want(ed) to do, that's fine and you do what makes you happy, just seemed weird to me at first.

I agree, the jump to level 7 is hard, I'm still gonna do giveaways but I won't make a push as I did from 5 to 6. When/If I get to 7, then great, but if not I'm ok at level 6. :)

only wanted to learn to use SGtools, now I know it, and now I know its not my kind of thing
I wont use it again cause it doesnt feel right, so you are right it doesnt fit me
I prefer a mix of invite, whitelist and public

I am happy at lvl 6 too if I get a lvl higher its ok, but I'm not trying to get there

Nothing wrong with wanting to learn, you tried it, didn't like it, you can move on. I never used it and probably never will, but don't have anything against those that do, it's their gifts, their choices, to me it just seems to go against what the site is all about.

With your generosity I think you will get there very soon, even if you not trying to get there. :)

Sgtools has too much disadvantages I think
You have to choose or the amount of games or the real CV etc
But if I'm honest I rarely make giveaways (only invite) for lvl 0 till 3
maybe got to do that again too

I agree, it does.
Far from me to tell you what to do but I wouldn't recommend level 0 giveaways. You will come across too many rule breakers, people that don't activate their wins and so on. With Steam selling games for only a few cents or people being able to sell cards to buy at least one game and give it away, there's no reason to not be at least level 1. For a while I did my giveaways for the level I was at but now I do it as it feels right for the game, never less than level 2 though. I feelt that at level 2 people know how the site works and gave some to the community.

yes you probably right
The most problems I had was with lvl 4 people, really dont know why, but some waited till 6 days to mark as received (maybe it got something to do with SGtools so the dont win too much)
lvl 1 is indeed so easy to reach you can there with selling cards from a free game

I had loads of problems with level 4 too, either not activating the game or taking too many days. I was surprised at first too but then I read a discussion on the forum where people were saying many rule breakers go to 4 maybe 5 since that is where they can get to fairly easy and allows them to leech the most.

Sorry I had to sent a lot of giveaways
So I missed your reaction between all the thanks etc
I think its a little bit true cause till level 4 its pretty easy and maybe even 5
so I think new people still want to proof theirself (lvl1,2,3) and I think the most leeching will be done at lvl 0 or lvl 4 at least thats what I see :)
but I dont mind leeching as much as dont clicking received
Some let me know that they are not able to click receive yes and that fine I find that polite :)

No worries. ^^
Level 4 is really easy, especially if people use grey market stores, so I can see the reason behind that logic.
Leeching used to bother met but not as much anymore, now as long as people mark it as received as soon as possible and activated, it's fine by me.
That is polite of them for sure. :)

yes and even with bundled games its pretty easy
I myself never bought something from the grey makret (too scared for that)
