Description

Hello. Here are ten copies of Antichamber courtesy of the developer, Alexander "Demruth" Bruce. He was generous enough to provide ten keys to give away for the members here at Steamgifts to enjoy. I hope you enjoy the game if you are one of the winners.

Information on the game:

Antichamber is a mind-bending psychological exploration game where nothing can be taken for granted. Discover an Escher-like world where hallways wrap around upon each other, spaces reconfigure themselves, and accomplishing the impossible may just be the only way forward.

Several years in the making, Antichamber received over 25 awards and honors throughout its development, in major competitions including the Independent Games Festival, the PAX10, IndieCade and Make Something Unreal. Antichamber was also supported by the Indie Fund.

  • A deeply psychological experience that will make you question everything you know about how a game works.

  • Mind-bending challenges that will subvert your expectations at every twist and turn.

  • An enormous, seamless non-Euclidean world to explore.

  • Lifelike soundscapes developed by Robin Arnott and an ambient soundtrack composed by Siddhartha Barnhoorn.

  • A gun that can create, destroy and manipulate matter, allowing you to discover new ways to overcome your surroundings.

Personal experience:

Antichamber is unique in the regard of throwing traditional thinking completely out of the window. The game combines many different aspects in a manner that confuses and makes the user rethink their logical processing ability. You start at the beginning without any information or purpose other than to continue moving forward, but for a game such as this it is fine as it is. The game has you 'unlearn' traditional gaming methods and tactics, and focuses on room puzzles/scenarios to help the user's brain cope with all of the awesomeness being thrown at it. One room may lead to a certain room, but that doesn't mean it has to; areas are not always as they seem and sometimes require a different track of thinking to progress in a seemingly hidden direction of the area. After you believe you know how the game works, it throws you a curve-ball and starts using some aspects of traditional gaming. These situations coupled with the hours of game-play make Antichamber one of my favorite games, and I hope everyone who wins will also enjoy it.

  • OS: Windows XP SP2, Vista, or Windows 7

  • Memory :2 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA 8000 series or higher (Shader Model 3 Compatible)
