At last, September. We've relapsed into parting-shot hot days but that's just a passing thing, fleeting and unconvincing, like a threadbare argument. For the most part our summer sheen is rubbing off and showing autumn's crisp swaying branches. Leaves have already started to fall, almost with relief. Today we're expecting thunderstorms, maybe a little rain tomorrow too.
