πŸ—ΊοΈ Travelling. Unfortunately, not possible at all in my current situation, but I hope one day I will be able to resume my small adventures again. What were some memorable places you've visited? πŸ—ΊοΈ
This game is pretty awesome btw, and I think the lucky winner should definitely play it. But anyway, that's it for my cozy B'day train, hope you enjoyed.
Return to the Cozy Zone. ก/ᐠ-ᆽ-ᐟ \ (feel free to bump)

Edit: Finally got to look through the presents cart. Thanks everyone for all the kind words and cute pics, I appreciate y'all. πŸ’›

Happy Birthday! You should have received something, let me know if it worked correctly!

I'd love to visit Ao Island in Japan (for obvious reasons)...

Thank you for this train!

I visited Bergen in Norway many years ago with my parents. I enjoyed that week greatly, the architecture, views and history were really cool.

Friend of mine owns a cabin a couple hours out from any towns/cities. Few years back, we gathered a small group and drove out there to spend the weekend stargazing and cooking smores by the campfire. Was my first time being able to see the Milky Way stretched out overhead at night! ❀️

Thanks for the train!

I love traveling. I went to Canada earlier this year and I'm going to London in a couple of weeks. Also traveling within the US next year (to Boston).

Most memorable place is definitely Rome. It was amazing, especially for someone who had never left North America before.

I've never heard of/seen this game before, but it is definitely up my alley.

Thanks for the train and awesome giveaways and I hope you have a wonderful birthday!

Edit: I went to Japan back in 2010. It was pretty neat but its really expensive, even just to travel around on the train every day. I unfortunately don't like sushi/seafood, which is the bulk of what restaurants serve :( But still got to eat stuff like yakisoba and visited Tokyo Disneyland and Disney Sea (which I prefer 10x more than California Adventure).

Lots of memorable places. My favourite countries to visit overall were Italy and Canada. The most recent place I enjoyed was Chiang Mai - I visited just before travel restrictions came in, so it was very quiet. There was always the worry that flights would be cancelled or entry requirements changed that would prevent me from getting home, but aside from that I had a relaxing time and ate some delicious food. My favourite dish was Hung Lay Pork Curry. Hoping to travel again soon, but part of me is used to staying at home and relaxing now too!

Japan is cool, but your mom's cattato is just the best. 😼 You should post more of him in the thread hehe.

Happy B-day and many thanks for the cozy train!
Well, memorable places, i think Japan and Australia come to my mind.
Was there a long time ago (Australia 21 years ago, Japan 16 years ago), but some of the
things i did there stay on my memory forever.
Especially the japanese bath (sento) i went to just outside of tokyo with a wonderful view to a mountain and a small village before
that. That was cozy and wonderful! :)

I've been lots of places and made great memories but the most memorable places I've been were nameless places I stumbled across while on hikes.
One in particular I will remember forever as if I was just there. I was in the mountains in Spain with friends and we had walked all day, and gotten slightly off our intended path. We stopped to check our map and a herd of wild horses just walked calmly by us.
I didn't even know there were still wild horses in these parts. We followed them to a river and just watched these beautiful creatures drink in the sunset. It was just amazing.
To this day, I don't even know where we really were lol

Happy Birthday week to you :)

Happy Bday.
The Alpujarras (Almeria side) there are some self-sustaining shelters where I sometimes spend some winter since you only pay for accommodation having access to all parts of the shelter with yoga, pilates and relaxation areas (I have not stepped on them, I go to eat, sleep and relax of the city), since the food is what is made that day in the refuge, trout, crayfish, wild boar, deer, duck... they have many mastiffs to protect them and the chickens and others from the wolves and foxes. As is logical, in these facilities they also grow relaxing substances and mushrooms outside the base price, but that is no longer for me...

Thanks for the great train :) I hope you have an amazing birthday.

When I was a little kid I visited my grand parents in California, I would go visit them during my summer vacation when school was out. Where they lived they had mountains and I've never seen them before except on TV so when I saw the mountains I would just be in awe, they looked so beautiful in the morning when the sun was rising. My grand parents surprised me one summer and we drove up through the mountains and I was so nervous, I was like 5 or 6 I think. I thought it was the most amazing thing to do, I'll never forget it.

It's been a while since i went travelling but one place that sticks in my mind is Portugal. Amazing scenery, fantastic golf courses (i'm a keen golfer), awesome and fresh seafood and nice warm weather for most of the year with a lovely sea breeze just to take the edge of the heat.

TragicBronson, I hope you had a great birthday!!!

I also love traveling, yesterday I came back from Seville, which is a great place to visit for several days.. that was my second time in Seville, the first time I was there was three years ago, before the Covid. Back then I rented a car and made a loop through Andalusia to see Cadiz, Gibraltar, Malaga, and Cordoba (one day for one city). This time I stayed in Seville for several days to appreciate it more :)
