I apologize for being somewhat confused in the process! When I won my 7th game a week ago, I immediately made sure that I was not still in any group giveaways. I also left a message in the Unlucky-7 thread here about my desire to remain in the group as a gifter.
Meanwhile, this past week has been very busy and I have not had a chance to visit the group to see if there was another manner in which I needed to give notice of my desire to remain as a gifter and to refresh my memory on what the requirements are to be a gifter. If I am already doing that badly, I will correct that within the next day or two when I have a moment to breathe. :)
ETA: Oh? Just in case...
Was my 8th win... an Unlucky-7 win? If so, I did that without realizing. Also if so, I have already activated that game and I will buy a replacement key of that game and gift it in Unlucky-7!

If I read the rules correctly, I currently have a -1 difference within the UL7 group. I need to give away 8 games (with no more than 1 week between any giveaway) to become a gifter in good standing, correct? No problem. I will most likely complete that in less time than the 8 weeks.
After that at least one giveaway every 6 months? No problem until I clear out my stash of keys. When that time comes, I will bid the group goodbye.
If you have not yet promoted me to a gifter, I request that you do so. I just created my first group to get my in-group count out of the red and back to zero. :)

You are correct. (sigh) I thought I had clicked to reply to your message "Invited" so that you would get notified.
After I won the 7th game, I went to remove myself from any contests I might have been in from the Unlucky-7 group. I found none and that surprised me because I had been in a few. I saw something else in regards to me being in the group that caused me to believe I had been removed. Honestly, I don't remember what it was. That was the point at which I wrote the message which you refer to. The next day, I saw that I was, in fact, still in the group.
I will reread the rules in regards to UL7 gifters to be certain I don't (for the 3 time in the short time I have been here) do something incorrect again. When I have done, I will send a message - almost surely asking to remain as a gifter. It should be within the next day or two. I'll let you know in the Steam group.
