Well I would recommend to check out Dominions 4 or Space Rangers HD. However they aren't for everyone so check some reviews or gameplay to see if you like those types of games.

If you either want a good sci-fi or rougelike game, try Faster Than Light. It has countless replayability with a different experience each play, it needs strategical thinking, it has highly tactical battles and it is quiet cheap. One of the best games you can find with that price.

Take a look at To The Moon - wonderful story, great music.
