The Metro Series by Dmitri Alexejewitsch Gluchowski. Yes this is were the Metro games come from 😉 It's a mixture between Science-Fiction and Horror.

Twilight. Although the horror comes from how bad it is.
The last horror genre book series I read was Goosebumps so I have no clue sadly. =(
