Description

Have you ever had an accident at work?
How are your safety conditions at work?
Remember that you also work at home... jic ;)
Attending school and/or university counts as work, too. Learning is crucial to any future work, not to mention life...

Thanks!

I am 30 years old.

I didn't stop helping them because of an accident but because of politics.
Just before an election mayor decided to disband many experienced firefighters and made low profile firefighters lieutenant, chef etc to get more votes from certain people with certain affiliation.

I was also part of some SAR teams but then I figured out there are too many people there just to brag and not enough people who wants to do real good.

You might think I should stay and fight for the right but I also learned these people are soo good at bragging about themselves people follow. People don't look at what you have done but they just believe in words. Just like politics :)

Since you have already checked my Steam profile (I am ashamed of that ban which has nothing to do with me) if you are interested I can send you my Facebook profile and link to my album. There are not too many pictures (it is hard to take a picture and extinguish fire at the same time ;) ) .

By the way even I am not a firefighter, SAR member etc I do still help people.
If something is coming from your heart universe gives you different ways to achieve it :)

As you've mentioned it here I've checked it out and now I know what this ban is not playing those games ;) You can never know enough... and you never will know enough...
As for FB, I - note the comma ;) - was aware of what it could become and therefore I've never handed over my life to FB :)

For all other things you've mentioned you've already said what's necessary. Not being a politician I can only add keep your faith in humanity no matter what other brag about.

My next word will be cryptic but I don't how else I can describe.

Now I am aware they are experiencing their own reality and they serve a purpose to some.
People learns from their mistakes and eventually people will learn not follow braggers, cheaters etc etc.

All I can do is have my faith and try my best where I can achieve it with grace :)

As for FB, it is like a knife. You can use it to put butter on bread, cut your meat, do a surgery (it is not a knife but you got it) or kill someone. I don't post huge amount of stuff, do upfates etc. I leave it open so people can reach easily me.
You are well aware of it's addiction. So don't worry. I believe you won't turn into a "lets post another meal" zombie :)

...For science, you monster!

ps. Apparently, devs will be releasing a new complete version on October 16th, "Augmented" something.. the old complete pack was removed :P

As regards as your work hazards question, I'm working with chemicals, do you know the old stealing gas sucking with a hose? I sometimes do that, no, not the stealing part, you silly!
I have to transfer Sodium hypochlorite to another recipient with water with a hose like that. Let me tell you, gases alone are dangerous, corrosive...
but WTH who wants to live forever, right? XD

I should get a pump or something..

.. what's your problem with Sodium hypochlorite? It's used for bleaching, cleaning, disinfection, deodorizing, waste water treatment, endodontics (med), nerve agent neutralization, reduction of skin damage (med, will resp. should not be used any longer). You would only loose part of your tongue and gustatory nerves. Are you really afraid to sip a little bit of bleacher? Pumps are expensive, I'm sure you just wanna ruin your firm which is barely making money at all.

The Die Hard way to siphon gas with one hose is for the gas junkies only. Using two to create an over pressure saves not only gas but tastes much better depending on the taste of the hose itself ;)

I should definitely get me a sword... :)

what's that about ruining my firm? yeah people have died, suicided by drinking bleach, it's deff a horrible way to go.. or you can take the slow rute and inhale the fumes and let them erode you inside, like a cancer, you know, for science (?) XD

Now, about the 2 hoses, I'd have to search a bit, but I'm talking about big tanks, say 20 lts, it's gravity and height involved or the siphon won't work/stop at the middle-way.
Talking about taste, if I don't clean the end that I put my mouth to, it'll have dried hypoclorite aka bleach which is not only salty but will burn, specially in contact with water (or saliva). I just clean it with some alcohol spray and a cloth before, but please, if you happen to know a better way feel free to enlight me, I haven't look for a better way, been doing it the "die hard gas junkie way" since I opened haha

... you know, chemical firms have to calculate very tight, can't spent too much on safety issues as there is always another job aspirant waiting to take a deep breath ;) Ok, ok, I confess, maybe adding a smiley at the end would have made you less wondering :)

Siphoning always involve gravity, you just have to start the fluid flowing. With one hose it's acting like a straw with all the nice side effects of bleach at the end you're putting the next time into your mouth. When you suck on your end of the hose you're producing under pressure and the fluid expands into the hose til gravity takes over. If you can seal the opening where you insert the hose you can add a second hose. Instead of under pressure you can use over pressure which forces the fluid to exit via the original hose. Obviously it depends how much air is in the tank. Instead of your lungs you could use an air pump (bicycle, dinghy) or compressed air. That way you could circumvent putting a hose into your mouth at all... at least at work ;)

Yeah I know about the siphoning until it start flowing, shoulda worded that better too. Even as little time you spend siphoning it to actually reach the low curve and then flow by itself, by then you've at least inhaled the gasses.
oh, so it's the same as when when one was a kid and had a straw in a glass with whatever liquid were drinking, and just blow air, except in this case the closed recipient would force the bleach to exit the (1st) hose, as only exit. Unfortunately I can't close it plus there's almost equal air space as there's liquid.
The blowing part could work if I manage to close the vessel? and regulate the force/pressure of that air pump and preventing it spilling, since it'll bleach everything it touches haha. Maybe I can rig some rubber lid as I don't want to punch holes in the only lid cap I have for the recipient.
Thanks, this was interesting. Sorry guys for the slight offtopic :P

That's all ontopic... accidents... safety conditions...

Check out How To : Make a Pressurized Fluid Dispenser. That should give you a good impression what I mean. And if it fits for you you should be able to make it with little effort for your own safety. And keep me informed whether it works for you, please.

Thanks! I watched the whole video. I'd have to either build a bigger one or think how to make it work for at least 20 lts, sorry, IDK how much that is in english measure. Also, this pushes out, if I had one sucking in.. ugh I might be saying something stupid, it's late here so bear with me if you catch me wrong!

I will leave your message un-readed as a reminder to update you about what I do with this health hazard of mine, hah. Thanks again, have a great weekend!

No problem, I have no clue which measurement our British/American friends would use for Sodium hypochlorite... I use metric SI-units :)
Just keep in mind to add an over pressure valve to avoid over pressure of your tank. Especially when you use pressurised air instead of a hand pump like shown in the video. And test it with water before using it with other chemicals. I'm pretty sure you know that by yourself but jic someone else read this...

Hey! 3-months-later update, I've kept my word (and 84 unmarked replies later) I'm here :P

here's a recap: I put a 20lt canister with S.H. liquid inside, higher than a 50lt tank as recipient. A clear hose and siphon once (if done right) until the job is done. Now...

The mechanism didn't quite work, it seemed to work fine with just water, but when tried with the sodium hypochlorite it failed miserably.. Since it's something corrosive, it may have eaten the rubber cap inside the tube, so I'm still stuck doing the same as before, siphoning the hose, at least until I either do produce a working gadget or I quit the idea since it's say 1 time every 3 weeks or so, still, not keen on breathing-in corrosive chemicals..
