To further expand upon the details of that:

Developer status is (afaik) just there as a quick way to bypass the giveaway cap restriction (they list the exact same site rank and permissions, after all). As such, if preferred, one can instead choose to just ask support to increase their giveaway cap directly [which is something they appear to usually approve], if they prefer to have the benefits without the label.

Since PQube is the publisher, rather than the developer, the title may actually be a bit misleading (though perhaps having it would still be more useful than not, given the similarity in association and the site's lack of a publisher label). Well, perhaps they'll start making giveaways for the game they actually have development association on, and the label'll become a bit more intuitive. :)

(Probably makes more sense to get it than not, I'm just pointing out that one can get a similar result through an alternative approach. ^.^)
