The cart before my first one was misnumbered, so of course all of mine and the following were misnumbered too. I simply added another one into my part of the train and voila, all following are numbered correctly again ;)
Considering it were over 30 carts, I thought this was the easiest and fastest solution.

cart can keep it's number. I added another one in between mine so only the first one needs to change numbers.
