I know what you mean, I haven't entered many GAs in this train but several Dark Souls GA in row have drained me completely ;-)

i was around when it was free but during that time i didnt have really any internet so i didnt bother to create accounts to get it then i realised months later huh this is something interesting, why didnt i create an account and get it

Actually they also gave it away on Steam in the same time. But it was only for one day so you might have missed it.
