Did you copy/paste or type it in? If you tried typing it in, that's a zero and the letter i (capitalized).

I just checked it trying to redeem to my own account (already own it) and got "This Steam account already owns the product(s) contained in this offer. To access them, visit your library in the Steam client." so it appears the key is valid. Might want to try again!
