I think there are some minor points where your likening of a free weekend to a demo is inaccurate, but only one is worth mentioning. If someone had access to a game (an earlier free weekend, a subscription), made some / a lot of progress, and then lost access (end of free weekend, cancelling a subscription), the current free weekend would give them a chance to continue where they left off, because the game is complete, as opposed to an incomplete demo version. A person who cancelled a subscription for financial reasons probably loves taking another crack at a game they had to leave behind.
Anyway, to acknowledge your ardent position (and the fact that others may well feel the same way), I've closed my 5 free weekend threads in Deals, and opened a single thread with a table in General.
