Hey, hate to bother you here, but I need some help. I put in this support ticket almost two weeks ago, and have bumped it at least three times...no response. Messed up in selecting a game (selected Return to Mysterious Island when it was RTMI 2) and was hoping to get it switched. The winner and I have been in communication and they were patient, but have finally marked it as "not received" until we can figure something out.

Even if the answer is just "dude, I know that changing a game is an option in the support tickets, but really we don't do that," at least I'd know to just go ahead and request a delete.

So can you help me out here? Pretty please?

Also, next time you're recruiting mods, feel free to put my name on the list. I was a super-mod in a PC modding forum for 3-4 years. So yeah, I was a mod for modders. 🤣🤣🤣 I'm old, responsible, will follow the rules but know when to use discretion or make logical exceptions, etc. Additionally, I know code and querying and all of that good stuff, so if you need someone who may be able to actually help do things like manually edit data in tables or fix orphaned records, I can be useful there too. ;)

It's the only answer we can give. It's only possible to change between two versions of the same game, like Witcher 3 to Witcher 3 GOTY. Not two different games. I would not phrase it like this though :thinking: I do agree that ticket name may be misleading here.

Also remember each time you "bump" a ticket, you actually move it to the start of the queue. If you'd open re-roll ticket 2 weeks ago and bump it each 3 days - it would never get solved, unless we'd catch up and solve tickets that are 2-3 days old. Which is ideal, but sometimes doesn't happen for some time. So it's best to leave the ticket as is, and edit OP if you need to add more information. Don't add information as a comment.

So you should make delete giveaway ticket, and don't try to bump it. Ticket queue is few days old now unfortunately.

Gotcha. I didn't know that about how comments affect the ticket queue. Good to know, and I'll definitely keep that in mind going forward.

And hey -- thank you for jumping in and responding. I know that there's probably a huge queue, especially with the holiday box event going on, holiday trains, advent calendars, etc., so I really appreciate it. I'm just trying to do right by the winner.

I'll close that ticket and put in a delete request. Thanks again.

Hey, just a quick update: killingarts got the GA deleted today already, so mad kudos there!

Thanks again for jumping in. I know this stuff is a pain, and I learned one more nuance in the process.

And my offer to join the mods stands...any time you're recruiting, please let me know. I'm not on Steamgifts every night, but I'm on for at least a few minutes 4-5 times a week, usually more. I can burn through a bunch of tickets a couple of nights a week at a minimum. Happy to be part of the solution, since I know the ask of the mod team is so high.
