Evening Wind, 1921 by Edward Hopper

This painting though it looks quite modern is actually from 1454.
It is by far the most beautiful piece of art I have ever seen, and I can't quite explain why. This is the most authentic, refined, most rock and roll, piece of ancient art you will ever find. Medieval times, are often depicted in movies as being brown and black and grey and muddy and unrefined (American movies are perhaps the worst offenders). This painting is an obvious sign of a different truth.
