I really liked The Last Door, a horror point & click adventure that I've recently finished. Can recommend :)

Loom, by a nose. All of the old Lucasarts games were great, but Loom was just beautiful and good at making you feel really clever.

Broken Sword 1, 2, The Longest Journey and Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller :)

That's a tough one. I guess it's the games I played as a child, they bring back all those warm and fuzzy feelings:-)

• Gabriel Knight 2+3 (GK3 is the only adventure I know that works in 3d)
• Orion Burger
• Bud Tucker in Double Trouble

Sure, none of those is a generation-defining masterpiece like Monkey Island, but these were the very first adventures I played and I love each one of them :-)
